AP French Online is designed for busy high school students who often have heavy class loads. The course seeks to combine academic rigor and flexibility.
Students are not expected to "attend class" every day. Rather, students work independently on assignments throughout the week and submit each week's assignments by the week-end deadline.
However, the course does have a starting date, a break for the holidays in December, and an ending date about a week before the AP French Language Exam date. The class also meets Online at the same time once a week for a live-voice discussion.
Working together in this loosely structured way has several advantages. With students engaged in the same assignments at the same time, the exchange of ideas on the class discussion board is more meaningful. Students are also able to help each other with questions instead of each student relying solely on the instructor. This kind of interaction keeps motivation high.

Do you guarantee a high score on the AP Exam?
I'd like to guarantee you'll get a 4 or even a 5 on the exam if you enroll in AP French Online, but that is not very realistic.
From my experience, your score on the AP exam depends on four main factors :
- your level of French coming into AP French Online
- how thoroughly you do the work assigned in the course
- how consistently you do the work assigned - two hours a day is far more effective for learning a language than several hours all at once!
- the initiative you show in taking advantage of independent learning opportunities offered throughout the course

If I have to drop the course after I've registered, can I get a refund?
For the 2007-2008 school year, all students droping the course before September 30th 2007 will get a full refund.
